Anxiety Toys

These glass casted birds are designed to be hand held when someone is having an anxiety attack. The heavy weight of the solid glass is useful for calming techniques and the interesting texture of the glass allows the user to distract themselves exploring the different surfaces.

In order to get the form of the bird correct to be able to sit in the hands I used photogrammetry to scan my cupped hands and began 3D modelling from there.

I casted the 3D printed models and burned out the PLA to then cast the glass.
